The proper functioning of ManageMyHealth™ in a medical centre setting requires the ManageMyHealth™ software to communicate with the respective practice management software used by the medical centre.
In the case of medical centres using the Medtech32 practice management software, the communication between ManageMyHealth™ and the Medtech32 practice management software managed by a program (windows service) called the called the ‘Medtech Service’. The “Medtech Service” is an integral part of the Medtech32 practice management software which is installed on the Server that is running Medtech32 software.
The ‘Medtech Service’ needs to be configured as per the recommended configuration settings published by Medtech in order for the ManageMyHealth™ modules to function.
All medical centres wishing to use the ManageMyHealth™ software and services must ensure that other software installed in their internal IT environment such as anti-virus and anti-spam software does not interfere or block the Medtech32 software or the Medtech windows service.
All medical centres will need to ensure that the communication between their Medtech32 software and ManageMyHealth™ is not blocked or interrupted in anyway except for scheduled maintenance such as upgrades and back-ups.
All Medical centres will also need to ensure that any firewalls and any other software installed in their internal IT environment such as anti-virus and anti-spam software does not interfere or block the Medtech32 software or the Medtech windows service. If proxy servers are used then these need to be properly configured.
